I don't know what inspired me but I wanted to finally create my own apocalyptic scene. I choose a diner because it felt fitting that the character is always on the move and uses this place to rest before moving on.
Softwares I used were: Unreal Engine 5, Blender, Substance Painter, Substance Designer and Photoshop.
Bigger assets have textures of 2048 resolution, while smaller assets have 1024 resolution.
I used a few Megascan assets: such as the scattered leaves decal, tree stumps and the burnt wood in the barrel.
Other than that, all of the other decals are custom made, the ceiling and wall leaks, along with the paper scattered across the scene, cracks on the booth seats, and on the walls.
I used Polyhaven for my HDRI in the scene.
The map is downloaded, the creator is David Rumsey, I used their map and tweaked it in Photoshop and Substance Painter, to give it age and wear.
The tree foliage pack is Black Alder.
